Every car, every part and every invoice is held on the machine in front of you, not on a website you need a signal to reach. Book a car in with the line down and it is booked in. The machines catch each other up when the connection comes back.
Nothing is ever shown as saved when it isn't. That is the one thing a book on a desk always got right.

VAT at 13.5 and 23, numbered in sequence with no gaps, your own name and mark on the top. Printed or handed over on the screen.
What it costs
Nothing.
The books are free, for everyone who works there. Text in a database costs almost nothing to run, so charging for it would be charging for the sake of it.
Photographs and paperwork are the part that carries a real cost, so that is the part that will carry a price when it arrives. Nothing you can use today is behind one.
